cauliflower-tomato sauce recipe

Hey guys, well this recipe is inspired by the cauliflower recipe by stephsplate, so definitely check out her great recipe video as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BDhD2F75P8 . I totally love to have this sauce with pasta, it's so good. You have to try it! :)

You will need:

  • about 5 (medium) cauliflower florets
  • about 180 ml of oat milk
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsps of nutritional yeast
  • 2 tbsps of (saltfree) tomato paste
  • 1 tsp of paprika powder
  • 1 tsp of curry powder
  •  2 tbsps of oregano (or whatever herbs you like)
  • 4 leaves of basil
  • some mushrooms or broccoli
  • optional: a pinch of salt and black pepper; roasted pine nuts

How to make it:

  1. add your oat milk into a pot
  2. add garlic and cauliflower
  3. cook until the cauliflower is ready (should not be too soft)
  4. add nutritional yeast, spices a, herbs and tomato paste
  5. put everything into a blender
  6. blend until all cauliflower chunks are gone
  7. put the sauce back into the pot
  8. add mushrooms/broccoli and boil until soft
  9. add salt and black pepper if you want
  10. add the sauce to your pasta and maybe top it with roasted pine nuts
  11. enjoy!
