cauliflower-tomato sauce recipe
Hey guys, well this recipe is inspired by the cauliflower recipe by stephsplate, so definitely check out her great recipe video as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BDhD2F75P8 . I totally love to have this sauce with pasta, it's so good. You have to try it! :)
You will need:
- about 5 (medium) cauliflower florets
- about 180 ml of oat milk
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsps of nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsps of (saltfree) tomato paste
- 1 tsp of paprika powder
- 1 tsp of curry powder
- 2 tbsps of oregano (or whatever herbs you like)
- 4 leaves of basil
- some mushrooms or broccoli
- optional: a pinch of salt and black pepper; roasted pine nuts
How to make it:
- add your oat milk into a pot
- add garlic and cauliflower
- cook until the cauliflower is ready (should not be too soft)
- add nutritional yeast, spices a, herbs and tomato paste
- put everything into a blender
- blend until all cauliflower chunks are gone
- put the sauce back into the pot
- add mushrooms/broccoli and boil until soft
- add salt and black pepper if you want
- add the sauce to your pasta and maybe top it with roasted pine nuts
- enjoy!
