How to prepare soy chunks for a barbecue

Ingredients:

  • soy chunks
  • some tbsps of tomato paste
  • some kind of meat spices
  • paprika powder
  • curry
  • herbs (e.g. oregano)
  • chilli powder
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • optional: some sea salt

How to make it:

1. put all the ingredients (except garlic and the soy chunks) into a pot with water, stir and bring the water to a boil

2. boil the soy chunks till they get a soft consistency (only takes 5-10 mins)

3. take them out of the water and try to squeeze all the water out of the soy, the chunks should be dry and flat afterwards (it's best if you use two boards)

4. mix the same ingredients you used in the first step for the marinade again and add some water in order to make it become the consistency of a tomato sauce.

5.  use a small container and put the soy and the marinade inside of it, mix well and close up with a lid.

6. let it soak over-night and barbecue the other day ( you can also put it into the oven)

Enjoy with ketchup or any other type of sauce :)
